Bundle Up The cold weather is upon us! Please keep in mind that our students will continue to go outside for recess and physical education class. If the temperature is 20 degrees Fahrenheit or above, recess can take place outside. If the temperature is below 20 degrees Fahrenheit (this includes factoring in the WINDCHILL), recess will be indoors. Please be sure to send your child daily with the appropriate clothing for the weather: Coat, boots, snow pants, hat, and gloves.
Report Cards
As a reminder, we are no longer distributing paper report cards to all families. Electronic report cards will be available via SchoolTool beginning Saturday, December 11. If you need to update your email or phone number in SchoolTool, please click this link. If you need a hard copy of your child's report card mailed to your home, after December 11, please contact our school office at 315-487-4656.

Health and Wellness With winter weather upon us, colds, flu and other viral illnesses are on the rise. Please remember to provide a mask for your child(ren) on a daily basis. We appreciate your ongoing support and understanding in keeping your children home when they are showing any signs of illness. Please call Ms. Balcourt when your child is ill or you have any questions or concerns at 315 487-4658.
Reminder
Split Rock's School Day Hours: 9:00am-3:15pm *Please note as other buildings roll out their new arrival and dismissal times on Monday, December 10, Split Rock's arrival and dismissal procedures will remain the same. Your child's actual bus driver may change, so the first few days of this transition could cause slight delays. We appreciate your patience as transportation adjusts throughout the district.
Our lost and found keeps growing and it is beginning to pile up! If your child is missing any sort of item/clothing please be sure to have them check the lost found. This can be found by the Gym entrance.

Holiday Gift Drive
We are excited to once again spread a little joy to West Genesee families! Our annual holiday gift drive will be held the week of December 6 through December 10. If families choose to participate, gifts will be assigned by grade level and gift baskets will be made and donated to local families.
Kindergarten: Hats, mittens, gloves and scarves
- 1st grade: Blankets and fleece throws
- 2nd grade: Art supplies
- 3rd grade: Crafts and STEM kits
- 4th grade: Board and card games
Your students can drop off the new and unwrapped gifts at the collection bins which will be located at both the front and rear entrances of the building.

Square 1 Art Success
Thank you to everyone who placed a Square 1 Art order to support the PTO. We sold nearly $6,000 worth of custom art products. Orders are scheduled to ship to school around mid-December and will be sent home in students' backpacks.
