Week In Review
It was another great week at "The Rock!" We brought our smiles yesterday and completed picture day. Please be sure to view the PTO section below to find information for makeup. As we continue to work hard in the classroom we have also carried out some of our practice evacuation drills as well. Students have done a wonderful job in following through with these, as we still have a few more practice drills left for all season.

To be sure that you are receiving all emails sent from the District/schools/teachers, please periodically check your spam/junk/promotions folder for emails with @westgenesee.org, then mark that they are not spam or junk!
To be sure that you are receiving text messages this year from WGCSD or your school(s), text a "Y" or "Yes" to 67587.
If you still have questions about receiving emails and/or text from WGCSD, please email your questions to publications@westgenesee.org.
Promise Zone Student Engagement Specialist
Last year, county officials decided to make an investment in the social-emotional well-being of our students as they transitioned back to in-person instruction Split Rock is fortunate to have Courtney Honchar as our Promise Zone Student Engagement Specialist. Promise Zones’ vision is ” to increase the capacity and efficacy of service delivery to all students to ensure a social, emotional, and academic achievement.”
Special Referendum Project 2021
Assistant Superintendent for Management Services, Christine DeMass, has kicked off the Special Referendum Capital Project along with architects from King & King sharing details about the project.Information about the Special Referendum can be seen in each school lobby on poster boards and also more detailed information is available on the website at: https://www.westgenesee.org/…/special-referendum-project-2…/. Be on the lookout for more information about an upcoming Community Forum to be held on Monday, November 15, and please save the date for the vote on the referendum which will be held on Monday, December 6.

Join The Split Rock PTO
Help create a school your child loves by joining the Split Rock PTO. Your annual membership doesn’t commit you to any volunteer time (although we always welcome helpers), a membership helps to fund activities and support our children.

Calling All 4th Grade ParentsOur 4th graders will be headed to middle school next year, so let’s send them off in style! If you are interested in helping make this event memorable, please consider signing up to help with one of the following committees.
